One of my favourite book bloggers, Emma’s Chapters, knows how to spend her Sunday’s- curled up with a good book! As I’ve been following her amazing blog for a while now, I realized we have this in common. This post is inspired by her Sunday’s in Bed With… that I look forward to reading each week!

Sundays in Bed With… is created & hosted by Midnight Book Girl, go check her out! This is a cheeky meme that dares ask what book has been in your bed this morning?

Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

On this rainy and gloomy Sunday, I’m curled up in bed reading The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon. This is the fifth book in the Outlander series and I’m really excited to write a full review on this instalment once I’m finished reading it.

Containing a whopping 1443 pages, I’m positive this is the longest novel in the series as of yet but I’m loving every second of it!

Novel Details

Series: Outlander

Publish Date: March 2004

Characters: Jamie Fraser, Claire Fraser, Brianna MacKenzie, Roger MacKenzie, Jemmy MacKenzie, Fergus Fraser

Setting: North Carolina and Mount Helicon 1770-1772

The year is 1771, and war is approaching. Jamie Fraser’s wife has told him so. Little as he wishes to, he must believe it, for hers is a gift of dreadful prophecy – a time-traveller’s certain knowledge. To break his oath to the Crown will brand him a traitor; to keep it is certain doom. Jamie Fraser stands in the shadow of the fiery cross – a standard that leads nowhere but to the bloody brink of war.

  1. Ooh I love this idea! Definitely still want to try out the Outlander series soon! This Sunday, my book in bed was “Tower of Dawn” in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. There’s so many books in the series but it’s one of my favorites so far. Not gonna lie, I am looking forward to wrapping up the series though!

  2. What a fun meme! I’m surprised I had never come across it before now. It’s not Sunday but I always have a book for bed. I’m currently reading The Mars Room by Rachel Kushner.
