I’m back with another voxbox and I honestly think it’s my favourite one that I’ve received complimentary since I’ve signed up with Influenster.
I’ve gotten a range of box’s, and they usually send me food samples (because they know I’m a foodie), coupons, or beauty samples— either way I’m never let down. They send me full sized products 98% of the time so it’s great that I don’t have to run out to the store to grab what I need while also discovering an amazing product. Win win.
The best part? You don’t have to have a huge following to qualify for voxbox campaigns! All you have to do is stay active on the Influenster app and on your social media. I love it, and I know you’ll love it. If you want to sign up you can find more information here!
Now, let’s dive into the review.
What’s in the Box?
The first thing that I pulled out of my voxbox was the information card that comes in every single box. It tells you about the product & gives you all the companies socials so you can stay up to date on their latest products.
I was overly happy to see that I’d been chosen for a product that just launched- it gets me giddy when I know that I have my hands on something not everyone has heard of before.
BB Cushion Hydra Radiance
The first thing that took my breath away was the packaging. This little compact is seriously the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. The compact encases a mirror that has now become my go-to mirror to use to apply my makeup.
Looks aside, the body of the compact is reusable. Meaning the pans that the product comes in are easily popped out when empty to replace with a new pan. I love this not only because I don’t need nor want 10000 compacts.. but it also is super environmentally friendly. An A+ in my books.
Laneige hooks you up with this product (in so many more ways then one) by providing you with an extra pan, so that when you run out you have one to switch out your compact. I was super thankful for this the moment I tried the product because I’m seriously hooked!
Putting it to the Test
You know that this product contains sunscreen, because boy can you smell it. I’m not opposed to the smell whatsoever, but if you totally despise the smell of sunscreen I don’t think you’ll be too happy with this products scent.
The fact that it’s SPF 50 is music to my ears. As a red head I’m just really pale naturally, and I don’t tan I burn— it’s honestly inevitable. And with the weather that we’ve been having lately, I need all the protection I can get. I’m very happy to report that after a week solid using this product religiously (applying every single morning) I’ve not suffered a sunburn on my face nor has it caused me to have a breakout.
I love the Cushion technology and the applicator that comes with the product picks up just enough product and also blends it flawlessly, although you could always just use your favourite damp beauty blender if you don’t find yourself loving the applicator provided. It provides little to medium coverage, because it has that tinted quality and I don’t feel the need to have to wear foundation in conjunction with this product.
The product applies well, however it did feel tacky on my skin. I’m not sure if that’s just the nature of the product or if it’s my skin but a little setting powder always helps any tackiness. Regardless, I was actually happy about the product feeling tacky believe it or not. I know this sounds crazy but the more tacky a product feels the more it’s going to stay in place and on your face- not the floor. It doesn’t matter how much I sweat, how oily my skin gets, or if I get my face wet this product doesn’t budge. Since I have no fear of this product melting off my face, I also don’t have to fear being unprotected from the sun.
The product doesn’t feel heavy on your skin, it’s a very breathable formula that almost makes you feel like you aren’t wearing anything at all!
I was sent the colour No. 21 beige, and I found that it was the slightest bit dark for me. In retrospect I probably should have gone a shade lighter but with summer here hopefully I can get some more colour into my skin. It isn’t such a drastic colour match mishap that I can’t even wear the product, I just make sure I blend in down past my jawline and into my neck slightly and I’m good to go!
Like I said previously, I don’t feel the need to pair this product with foundation. However if you do want the extra coverage I would suggest applying your foundation over top (after) you apply the BB Cushion Hydra Radiance. As explained, this product can be tacky when applied just on its own and I would utilize that to your benefit and allow your foundation something to grab onto sort of speak.
Overall I can honestly say that I’m addicted to Laneige’s BB Cushion Hydra Radiance Sunscreen. It’s become a stable in my skin care routine and has even made an impact in my glam routine allowing me to skip foundation! My skin has never been more thankful for a product, especially with this summer heat and crazy UV rays!
I definitely recommend to give this product your attention, it deserves it. How do you protect your self against the summer sun? Let me know in the comments!
